Daytime Running Lights

Evidently there are three choices on the LR3 for daytime running lights. What are the differences between daytime running lights, Scandinavian daytime running lights, and Canadian daytime running lights?

I think the main (the only?) difference is the tail lamps status, they turn on along with the low beams with Canadian DRLs, they stay off with Scandinavian DRLs.
