Deleting Ciggy Lighter socket

I need a reliable 12V source up in the glove box area. I dont use the cig lighter and was thinking about removing it for some custom connections. Anyway, I just wanted to know if anyone uses this power and if there is any ill effects? I just dont know what else is on the circuit. Im trying not to run a powerblock in from the battery and deal with a relay setup but I will if I have to. Thx

Why not use an ATM fuse tap on the lighter circuit? Its right behind the glove box.

I probably will, just didnt know if anyone had any issues tapping into it.
