I've found it's a rather simple procedure to change the front, rear, and t-case fluids. Does anyone have any advise as to the type of fluid to use? Is there a real reason why synthetics are better than standard in this case?

No pun intended :)

Thanks - I'll give it a shot. Can't hurt to use the 'good stuff' in an area that takes constant abuse / use. So far, the Rover's worth it. She's only slightly less high-maintenence than some of my worst girlfriends in the past....

Cheers.

Thanks Viper - I'll give it a go this weekend. Your suggestion of the Mobil 1 is great idea.

Cheers.
