I have two P38's. One is a highly modified 1995 4.0SE and the other an unmodified 1998 4.6 HSE. Both have GEMS.
I would like to swap the engines out but need information regarding the proposed swap - like - can it be done EASILY - i.e. can I leave all the ECU's in their original vehicles, or should I swap the engine ECU's to stay with their original engines; are there any problems with engine mount positions/engine mount types; any problems with mating the engines to the in place transmissions etc etc.
Has anyone done such a swap?
All input very gratefully accepted.
