Hi there, new to the forum and new to Land Rovers. Just got a LR4 2009 TDV6 diesel, and realising that it's going to require some more love (and $$) than my trusted old 1990 Mercedes 230E did.
First up is the air suspension. Computer says Normal height only, and the local Land Rover dealership told me the compressor is busted. I found a replacement one online from a brand called Trucktec and it's only around $400. Seems like the same store sells original ones from Land Rover closer to $1000. Dealership told me that a replacement part would be closer to twice that price + labour. So to conclude; the prices vary wildly.
So my question is; Does anyone have any experience (good or bad) with cheap replacement air suspension compressors? Any reason to buy an original at twice the price?
