Folks,

I have recently bought a Yr 2000 Freelander.
No reason to complain: very happy.

However, I have just bought a Simbars Bike Carrier, that requires me to remove the rear wheel form the back door in order to fit the device.

Problem is that I cannot establish how to do that. Is there something standard but unique that will free the wheel for removal afetr the 2 nuts have been loosened?

Thanks,
TB

Indeed there is; but the 3rd is not a normal nut. Round and plastic coated.

its a lockable nut,

you need the key from the dealer.

chances are they have a master set and can take it off for you and you can get a new one.
