Last night when I removed the key from my LR3, I heard a ticking sound coming from behind the instrument panel in the center area. It appeared to be from behind the radio.
I waited about 15 minutes and the sound did not stop. Several engine starts and wait periods did not stop the ticking. Finally, because I was concerned the battery would drain down, I disconnected the negative terminal of the battery, waited 30 seconds, and reconnected it. The sound stopped and all appears well.
Any thoughts on the cause?
