Plan on 2 to 3 qts of brake fluid and do a gravity bleed starting at the r/r side and working forward. Let them drip, one at a time, untill you get good clear fluid running through.
Let me know how it goes.

By the way, I noticed that my ABS modulator makes an electronic sounding noise all the time. Not the mechanical noise of the pump running, but a very quiet, odd sounding noise. I only notice it when the car is in the garage with the hood open, engine off.

Is THAT normal? Or is it culprit?

I had the same problem, my local LR specialist found out I had a bad wheel speed sensor and missing plates in the rear suspension which caused a rear sensor to throw a code.

I got the big one... Modulator took a dump. Dealer wanted $2110.00 to replace it. I balked at that and found one out of a salvage 2002 DII for $200. I'll report back when I'm done.

I replaced the ABS module yesterday and bled the brakes today. No sign of an ABS light after trying like heck to set if off (set off the Traction Control a million times, lots of hard braking on road and off)

Only time will tell if I won the battle or the war.
