L322 Power Steering

Hi, I have a 2004 L322 which has done 110k and is running well however the steering seems to be twitchy to me and not as direct as before. can anyone suggest anything other than checking the powersteering fluid? Are there any service items that need regular maintenance.

P38 sketch vs L322 steering mechanism

Does "Twitchy" means that the steering wheel is moving unexpectanly while driving straight? or while turning?

I have a 2001 P38 I wonder if the steering mechanism is the same? Maybe exchange photos or sketches! see attachment of P38 steering mechanism from P38 shop manual.
