Land rover discovery want start

Hello!
I just bought a 2004 land rover discovery 158k miles needs some work. this sunday we went for a drive and the hose broke. we were stuck in the middle of the street so i put the rover on neutral gear so we could move back to move out of other cars way. i noticed it wasnt turning on anymore but i thought it was because of the bursted hose. We had it towed and the key was stuck. I finally got the key out today and replaced the hose, i tried to start the rover but it wont start. i thought i was the battery but i dont think its that either. can anyone please help?

Make sure it is in park (wiggle it) if it still doesn't start, try locking and unlocking the door with the remote.
