ARE THE BONNETS ON SERIES 1s ALL INTERCHANGABLE ie ALL YEARS AND WHEEL BASES?

should be. you might want to break out the old tape measure to make sure.

Good question and I don't really know.
When they went from 80 to 86, they added the extra length in the rear, then when they went from 86 to 88, the extra length was added in the front. So, knowing that, I wonder, would they? 80 to 86, I'd say yes, 86 to 88, I'm unsure.

all three are different - 80", 86" & 88".

I sent an email to Dunsfold Land Rover in England and asked the original question about the S1 bonnets. ( As you may well know, Dunsfold are one of the foremost authorities on rare Land Rovers and early Series 1's )

So, here is the reply I got this morning --->

" The bonnets are not interchangeable.
They are all different."
