Laptop mount

Has anyone installed one of these mounts in their vehicle? I'm thinking about getting one to hold my 15" Macbook which I find is a little too big to fit in my lap when I'm parked. I spend 12 hours a day in my LR3 when I'm out on location in the oil fields of West Texas, so comfort is a must. My only concern is that it won't extend far enough over the center console to be really useful.

He hand-makes/welds a custom ball mount, that bolts to your seat rail. It's a perfect custom-fit for the Disco3/LR3. He made one in LHD for me. Then go to amazon .com and search for "RAM mount." It's a modular system, where you can select different components to make it the perfect height for your vehicle. And you can select a holder for either a laptop (diff sizes), or an iPad, etc...

That's the absolute best set-up combo for our LR3s.

I Just made my own similar to the Ray version. Bought the ball bracket from RAM and ground it off to fit on the seat rail. It sits at a different angle then Rays but works fine.
