Ok, so in Norfolk Va, yesterday it rained 5.5 inches in one hour. I did not have the rover out instead was driving the Bmer, bad call, in hindsight. I have been considering a Mantec under bumper and have a question regarding the large center hole (is this for winch application). I understand the upper vent arrays, but I am concerned the large center hole may allow too much water intake (that is too quickly), vs the stock. Thoughts... Jon

Not sure what intake into where you are worried about, since it is just hole for the recovery point and the LR3 can handle up to 27" deep water which would completely submerge that area.

Many remove the stock cover offroad, fording streams and such as it can get torn off rather easy.

I have taken my mantec through rivers with no issue.
