I replaced the master cylinder and topped off the fluid, used the shop manuals instructions to pump slowly 5 times wait 10 seconds and repeat till firm, well, just like she said; 'it ain't getting hard!' The pedal feels odd, about 3/4 the way down it kinda gives and goes to the floor. not firm at all but more firm for the first 3/4. Should the cap be on the reservoir?. I tried both ways and I did the procedure 5 times.
