Hey all, going to be doing my first oil change on my somewhat new to me 2013 LR4 with about 94k on the engine

Debating between these two oils, both state OK for FORD WSS M2C 925 A

I am thinking the 0W-20 is probably best for cold start (timing chain) which is my biggest concern, could care less about fuel economy

5122:
This 100% Synthetic engine oil is formulated to perfectly lubricate the latest generation of JAGUAR LAND ROVER Gasoline engines 6-cylinders 3.0L and 8-cylinders 5.0L, naturally aspirated and supercharged, requiring an approved STJLR.51.5122 lubricant. The specification STJLR.51.5122 also covers many V6 and V8 Gasoline engines from JAGUAR LAND ROVER currently requiring FORD WSS M2C 925 A whenever product with this specification is not available. If in doubt, always check the vehicle owner's manual.

948B

For these JAGUAR and LAND ROVER engines requiring previously FORD WSS M2C 925A or 925B standards, the specification STJLR.03.5004 now applies as a replacement. STJLR.03.5004 covers most of JAGUAR LAND ROVER Gasoline engines except for V6 and V8 supercharged.

I use the Motul 5W-20. The dealer put 0W-20 in my vehicle once, and I did not like it. Seemed a lot noisier.

Although Land Rover says they recommend the 0W now, I believe it's because they want to stock just one oil, and that's the oil they are "recommending" now for increased fuel economy.

5W was what was originally recommended so it's what I use. Unless you are cold starting regularly at severe cold temperatures, it's what I recommend you use, too.

I also stick to 5W-20 in my V8. I also don't live in a cold climate, so it doesn't matter to me. I like sticking to the book.
