Navigation System Settings

On the LR3 navigation system, is there a way to input average speeds for the different types of roads? (This can be done on both my aftermarket Alpine navigation system (2002 Expedition) and my wife’s 2005 Lexus 330.)

Also, my new 2006 HSE navigation system is finding the target destination but not by the most direct route. Is this a common problem?

Simple answer: No.

You can, however, select different routes... and skew the results (fastest, shortest, etc.)... multiple ones are often offered. Most covered in your manual.

You can also set preferences--toll, ferry, freeway, etc.
