Need help installing older style roof crossbars

I picked up a set of what are apparently "older" style crossbars off Craigslist locally. However, I can't find anything on how to install them. The seller said they came off a 2007 LR3. See below for a picture:

There are no locks or anything. Already searched Topix, and although there are 3 manuals for how to install roof bars, all 3 are for the new style (with locks).

Any help or info about these older bars would be appreciated!

My 2006 came with the crossbars with locks... I've never seen those in your picture before.

You need a lever or lock to secure the bar to the LR3..
