I need some help problem solving. I recently pulled off the grill headlights and bumper to replace it with a tactical rover front winch bumper after installing everything back and putting my temp sensor in a new location by the horns bolted up there my temp indicator shows -40° outside and is not reading properly what did I do wrong and what can I do to fix it and should it be setting off my check engine light?

Unfortunately, you'll need a new temp sensor. Unfortunately, you'll need a new front lower air guide that comes with it. I have a new in box lower air guide with the sensor if you need one.

It sounds like either the sensor got damaged, or it is plugged in to the wrong part of the harness, or the harness is damaged. My original sensor works fine with my Tactical front bumper. But it's hard to diagnose the problem you're describing with just pictures; it will take some detective work on your part.

Probably just didn't hook it back up correctly when they installed the new one bumper, which is suweeet! I unplugged mine to rip out the plastic shroud inside the bumper (about the install a winch) and left it unplugged for a few days. My LR4 didn't like that! Read -40 and engine light came on. So I just plugged it back in and tucked it back up in the bumper for now. I'll do a better job relocating it when I install the winch. So check that it is plugged in and wiring is good, and if not get a new one like was said above.

Thanks all for the response, I figured it out. It was plugged in just was that fraction of a hair not fully seated situation. I swore I had it seated fully! Glad it was that simple and again thank you!
