power steering noise

Hello all. I have had my 2000 Disco II for three months now and am very pleased with it. I have noticed, however, that i have a mild sqeal when I turn. the fluid was near the minimum level and I topped it up but that did not seem to make a difference. Any ideas on what to check or is this par for the course?

Sounds like you belt tensioner may be going bad... this is a known issue with rovers in general... you can test it with a mechanics stethoscope, or a long screwdriver.
