Hi Guys,
I joined today - but need already your help.
As I sait in my introduction, I have a 2l diesel Freelander from 2000. The power steering pump is leaking like hell and I try to get this sorted myself (many years ago I learned the trade - but work at the desk now). Without the workshop manual, I started to take off the bottom and side panel and realised, that I have to take out the alternator to get access to the pump. Unfortunately the main mounting bolt for the alternator hits against one of the tubes to the pump. What is the trick to get this stupid pump out? Or does it need special tools?
Who can help?
