Has anyone worked on the rear brakes on a 2014 LR2. My wife's LR2 only has 14k miles on it and the rear brakes are scoring the rotors. I took one apart the other day and the pads look great except they are grooved from the scoring. Also I noticed that the electric parking brake isn't like the LR 3 electric drum brake. There is a unit attached to the piston that somehow actuates for the parking brake.
Do you have to do something special to compress the piston on this vehicle. All you had to do on the LR3 was use a c-clamp to compress the piston. I didn't have the parking brake actuated but was afraid to use a c-clamp incase the piston had to be rotated like some Ford products.
Any help would be appreciated.

I just did my rear brakes on my 2013 LR2. You have to remove the Park Brake assembly, and then turn the inner part that is still on the caliper (the gear) all the way clock wise. This will allow you to compress the core, so you replace the pads. I also replaced the rotors. There was a video I found on Youtube.

Correct. Use an allen wrench to turn the actuator.
