I had new rotors and brake pads put on my 2016 LR4 within the last 3000 miles and now my brakes shakes when I press the brake pedal. Is there a better rotor and pad combination than OE?

OE shouldn't shake after 3,000 miles.

What year and miles are you at? Have you ever had your front control arm bushings done?

You mean your steering wheel shakes when you brake or the brake pedal? Could also be a bad control arm on suspension.

Brimbo slotted rotors and pads when you redo next time.

Control arm. You also probably have a double knock sound as well when you hit *** holes or bumps?

The noise hits when the arm compresses and decompresses... hence double knock.

I would have done some heavy braking from speed aa few times and see if it disappears.

I have had the same issue with a 2011 LR4 and had the rotors turned due to hard spots in the disk. The problem disappeared for about 7000 miles but returned. I replaced the disk with a Wagner brand and the problem has not return. I examined old disk and it appears the OE disk had imperfection in the material. Poor quality control of the product.

EBC green stuff pads and new slotted and drilled rotors - never had any issues
