Just got the "Check Brake Pads" message and pulled a front and back tire to inspect after work today. Rear pads need changed but fronts still have about 6.5 mm left.
The rear rotors have about a 1.5mm lip, much greater than the front. Do you guys suggest to replace the rotors now too or wait for the next pad change. I don't have any braking vibration, just the wonderful squeals.
I am going to order the Akebono Ceramics... is it alright to run those on the back while having the Ferodo pads on the front?
Thanks for the insights and direction to the Bodsy's Brake Bible...valuable write-up!

I would replace the rotors. That way they won't mess up the pads when they wear more. And the performance will be better.

I appreciate the advice. Placed an order at placeforbrakes.com for:

------
GD1340 EBC Sport Rotor (Dimpled &
Slotted) Rotor Set - Rear; Set of Two, 2006 Land
Rover LR3 , SE; V8 - 4.4L,
13.9 in. Dia. 1 $307.06 $307.06
------
Subtotal: $367.97
EBC18 18% OFF On Any EBC Order Over $200.00 Discount: -$55.27
Tax: $21.89
Shipping: $0.00
Total: $334.59

I haven't seen much on rotor recommendations other than sticking with OEM, so I went with the EBC Sports. I'll see how this combination seems to work and give an update.
