Greetings everyone. I want to use a 265/75 r16 dunlop mud rover tires on my discovery II 2004. Can I use this kind of tire? It has a 31.7 inch total diameter? Someone told me that I could only use 31 or lower diameter. Any info greatly apreciated::confused:

Discovery Series II

*

255/65-16: Stock tire size.
*

255/70-16: Just a bit taller than stock.
*

265/75-16: Taller and wider than stock, possible to fit without lift. minor rubbing. Looks real balanced with mild OME lift.
*

285/75-16: even taller than 265/75-16, r requires a bit more lift than the regular OME lift. some have fitted OME751 from Discovery series I, and changed SLS sensor in the rear to achieve almost 3 inches. Gearing and shaft strenght become issues.
*

255/85-16: a bit taller than 285/75-15 but narrower. Gearing and shaft strenght become issues.

Joey. Once again, me. I just put the 265/75 R16 on the 04 disco and guess what? they didnt fit. When I turn the wheel, the front bumper gets in the tire´s way, so I dont know what to do. What is your advice? Should I lift the truck? How much? Thank you very much, Im a little stressed, since I wasnt planning on any lifting, but I think I dont have other choice. I want to keep the SLS. Someone told me that I could use an OME 751's in the front, OME H.D. shocks all the way around and an RTE 2" space and height adjuster that can give me 2" to 4"s easily in the rear. What do you think about that? Where can I find this kind of accesories?

You can adjust the bump stops up front easy 10 minutes work. Rear SLS you can just bend the adjusters to the point you like with the rear level, but you will be maxing the system out. I am not a big SLS fan, so I would recommend going with new springs front and rear if you want to lift it. Otherwise a little trimming would always work.

Okey, Thank you joey. I will have all that in mind. I thing I will go for the 2" spacers. More economic and simple, since I wont be making a lot of ******** off roading. Once again, thank you very much for your adivce.

RockCrawler101, this really depends on if you have a D1 or a D2 and how high a lift you want.
