Hello, this is my first post and I hope you all can help me. I have an 01 Discovery that ran fine last night but this morning would'nt crank at all. It acted like the battery was dead however the lights worked fine, they don't even dim when you turn the key. The securty light on the dash flashes rapidly when you first lock the doors then continues to flash intermittently. I don't know if the problem is in the security system or starter or (?).
any advise you can give would be appreciated.
Thanks
Russ

Try resetting the alarm, lock and unlock the door 3 times with either the remote or the key, then try.
If that doesn't work, try resetting the inerita switch on the passenger side of the fire waqll near the heater hoses.

If the lock unlock doesn't work, you may need a battery for your Rover.
