Glad I bought mine when I did(two years ago). The guy had trouble selling it and I ended up negotiating with him a bit. Good to know.

I just poked my head out in the garage to check the doors and lights …and to say goodnight to the Landy of course. I could swear I heard a very faint “cha-ching” of appreciation coming from it. Naw it was probably just the EAS leveling itself out for the night…right?? :D

That is definitely a low mileage LR4, but it’s very hard to believe someone would pay $60+ grand for it.

I'm like'n this thread..(Troy's cost analysis LOL). I enjoy thinking my 2016 LR4 'Landmark' HD pack with 13.5K miles on it is worth quite a bit ($$$$). They drool at the dealer when I go anywhere near them with it. Don't get me wrong and I'm not doubting, but below is me when the sales or general manager tells me he (or she) will give me the $64k and change that I paid for it. Then again maybe that guy knows something that we don't?
That kind of money could inspire me to seriously consider a Defender though.

It creates a brief dilemma for me, but ultimately gives me a lot of satisfaction in my decision to hang on to the LR4. I might start cruising my area dealerships just to see their tongues hanging out. But the truth is that I love it even more than they do.

Call it pride of ownership...and enjoyment of others’ envy.

I was actually the 2nd buyer but at the $20K price point (2013 with 75,000 miles) and feel like I got a great deal!!

I think that’s a nice deal, too, Troy. My 2013 just hit 75K and I’m also the 2nd owner. I do all scheduled maintenance, 5K OCI w/Castrol Gucci, take care of it cosmetically as well. My indy just put new LCAs, new front rotors and pads, and transfer case/diff fluid changes. He admires it every time he works on it. I feel like at 75K and well-treated, it’s just coming into its own. Admittedly most of its use is as a gentleman’s about-town ride but it gets regular utility use with cargo transport and household projects. We just got a boat so it’ll be a natural fit for the marina runs and related activities. I take it off road with our local owners group a few times per year and I also enjoy “spirited” driving and long solo road trips. Best all-around vehicle I’ve ever had. Back to your original point— I would never give this away for $20 grand so fist bump on a great deal!

I spent over an hour test driving a P400 110 and ended-up ordering one that will arrive in February or March. My LR4 has 126K miles and the dealer was hoping I would trade it. He said they received over 50 calls on the last LR4 that was traded-in and it had similar mileage. Dealers typically send any vehicle past warranty to auction. Apparently not LR4's.

Congrats on the new 110 PaulLR3 ! Where are y'all going to hang out and share your experiences? We already lost Umberto! (I think he's gone from here now.) We can't have you all leave!!! I want to hear from and learn from all you early buyers to get the real scoop. Yes, I've seen the TFL and PowerfulUK stuff and on the other side all the non-critical fluff pieces like the Motor Trend stuff but I want to hear from the real folks like the ones on this forum. Maybe somebody can nudge (or something stronger) the forum admins to set up the New Defender forum here so we don't lose you all. Makes zero sense to put all that stuff in the old Defender forum. Anyway I'm hi-jacking the thread - back to our awesome LR4s!

A new Defender forum just appeared here. Unfortunately we're all over on this forum already:

https://landroverforums.com/forum/2020-defender-60/

I'll still be here since my wife's LR4 has 36K miles and we're keeping it "forever".
