Emergency key (blade key) not unlocking LR4
Does the passenger side have the same style lock? I wonder if the lock tumbler is broken, happened on one of my bmws and I just had to rebuild it. I def should start doing this when I go to the bike park- blake aiken

Rear Crossover (Heater Manifold) failure mode?
I bleed mine through the heater core pipe near the rear, it’s the highest point in the system that I can see. There’s a bleed port of the reservoir as well 2011 v8- blake aiken

Engine Dies at 70 MPH
A few people had mention a grounding issue at the starter may have been the cause. It was over winter so I wasn’t about to miss ski season to work in a cold garage. I’m hoping to wrap up a few house projects soon so I can get the cars in shape I got my iOS flir off eBay for $275.- blake aiken

We had a similar issue with our 11’ lr4 lux hd. Drove fine to keystone and then cut off as we pulled up to a light in town, electrical and engine dash lights popped up. Very Rough Idle after Timing Chain Replacement?
I broke 4 of 8 original injectors with the special tool when I did this job. It’s probably the worst part of the timing job.- blake aiken

Is it a timing chain???
Idk I’d throw the new guides and tensioners in there with the simplified procedure. Your timing seems fine so you can catch it before you need to take the valve covers off. It’ll be $300ish in parts now or $5k+ at some point after you button it back up almost guaranteed- blake aiken

Heated windshield not working
I’m glad I’m not the only one with a browned fuse box plastic though it’s still concerning. Ive pulled the fuses and just click it off every time it’s cold when I get in. Would love to not have electric gremlins though so if anyone has suggestions on checking the wiring I’m all ears- blake aiken

Diy timing chain
I didn’t do the rtv when I did my full tear down. I think have some oil sweating that dust is sticking to but haven’t noticed anything dripping. These were new gaskets though so they are likely much more pliable than your current gasket. If you aren’t comfortable doing timing work and your truck...- blake aiken

Crossover pipe flange dimensions

Fuel Filter Replacement
The fuel filter in the lr4 sits on top of the in tank pump. You have to drop the tank to replace it. The fuel tank skid is heavy and there’s 5 or so hoses that route along the top of the tank you have to fiddle with as the tank comes up and down.
