    I had the same problem with my 93 classic. It also has the 4.2. After checking all previously stated items, it still got hot. I removed the rubber seal(top and bottom) between the condensor and the radiator and found all manner of collected stuff. Hosed it out real good, and haven't had any...

    Thanks for the link to the rover manuals, it gave the information to find the $12.95 "speed buffer" (relay in drivers side kick panel) that was faulty. Glad I didn't dump $400.00 for a new speedometer. Thanks again.
