    @itsaguything I bought mine with 71K miles. Only drive about 4K miles a year. I have two other rovers plus a company car I commute in. Forgot to mention I repaired rocker panels but that was due to road salt poking rust holes in them--not the rover's fault.

    Replacement outer tie rod end not fitting.

    Here are some things to consider: 1) wrong part may have been shipped (it happens), 2) tie rod end being replaced may not be OEM 3) Knuckle may not be the original (least likely). Try Roversnorth.com, roverparts.com (Atlantic British) and if all else fails, ebay usually does the trick.

    I've found that chain slop is more evident on warm start-ups--not cold. Metal shrinks when cooled (chains will shrink eliminating slack if it is minimal). To be safe, I'd take it for a test drive (long enough to reach op temp), turn it off, wait 5-10 minutes, then turn it back on and listen...

    Lower Control Arms Poly Bushing Upgrade only one bushing?

    Maybe he was cheap and/or had access to a floor press. Replacing a single bushing vs. buying a whole new control arm is a repair where the money saved isn't worth the extra time involved in pressing out/in the old/new bushings. Especially if you live in the rust belt.

    Wind, trees, alpine roof...oh my

    The problem with all these vehicles downsizing to V6's from V8's is that they are all turbo or supercharged to make up the difference. Adds a lot of plumbing and complexity (esp. turbo) to engine and no linear power. Just off the line boost. These vehicles are too heavy for a V6.

    Help Identify This Noise

    Looks like your oil cap is vibrating in the video. Make sure it is tightened down and not cross threaded. Or could just be the noisy fuel injectors on this DI engine. But I agree stethoscope would be best to zero in.

    Brake Problem

    Check the brake pads for uneven wear from the old calipers. Or, you could have air in one side of the brake lines from when the new calipers were installed. But these two things would cause pulling rain or shine.

    Best to always replace the air compressor with the same brand as the old unit. Hitachi w/Hitachi, AMK w/AMk and so forth. You are getting a LOT of faults--if your battery & alternator are good, than my guess is your mechanic left something disconnected.
