LR4 to Defender direct comparison questions

I traded my 2016 LR4 for a 2020 Defender 110 X. I have 3500 miles on it and done a few overlanding/camping trips and I can give my fair assessment of the two. I'll start with the rear cargo room which I miss in the LR4. That extra foot or so in depth is a lot when you pack for two and a couple...

LR4 - Is there an equivalent in ride/driving experience?

I'll add my two cents in on the topic. In the SUV realm I've owned a Discovery II, LR3, Audi Q7 V8, Audi Q7 TDI, Volvo XC90 V8 to my current LR4 SC. My LR4 stands alone as the best I've driven with none of the others coming close as being a swiss army knife of great on road and off road ability...

LR4 - Is there an equivalent in ride/driving experience?

The new Ford Broncos are nice and I would've considered one but with a 3500 towing capacity it just doesn't work for me.

    becoming collectible

Go figure you find 3 with the HD package! When I was looking for mine none to be had. Yup you are correct with 2014-16's that the HD included low range, the rear lockers and FS spare.

Best roof rails and roof rack?

I went with the Rhino Rack backbone system as well. To keep the low profile I moved the rack back a few inches to clear the shark fin antenna without the need for spacers.

    TOYO AT3 255/55/19

I've been running my Toyo AT3's 255/60-19 for a year and put 6000 miles on them. Highway and mild off roading and they are reasonably quiet. No rubbing at all. I got my rig aligned right after I bought them and have been wearing evenly ever since.

    bragging !

My 2016 LR4 just climbed 93k after a 1200 mile adventure in Eastern Washington, Idaho and NW Oregon. Now it's time for a major maintenance service like what ktm525 mentioned at my local indy shop. That will be somewhat north of $2k. I've owned exclusively euro cars and suv's and that is around...

1-Yr Check-in and Trouble Code Rant

Those have to be the some of the best Land Rover pics I've ever seen! In regards to the fuel smell it may be related to the fuel tank flange recall. It can sometimes throw a CEL but most of the time it doesn't. I would check this if you already haven't NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V635000.

    Selling the LR4

Yup same noise down here in Portland. I bought a 2016 BMW i3 back in December not knowing that gas prices was going to increase two fold and I use the i3 for errands, etc and LR4 is strictly for camping trips and mt biking outings.

    Showoff Your LR4

After 5 years have passed when my 2000 Disco II got t-***** I've finally replaced it with a 2016 LR4 with 80k on the odometer. Had a planned trip to Central Oregon and put 1500 miles on it 2 weeks.
