Those are the LR3/option 2 slim. So they have the stand off tubes, but the tubes dont stick out quite as much as the standard stand off tubes- think there is about a 1 inch difference in the slim tubes vs the standard tubes. I think RS also offers the sliders with no stand off tubes. No...- Kenjengrif

Would this winch work on LR3?
The install was $650- a very fair price considering the amount of work involved. The Devon bumper kit was $1300. I got the sythetic line and had the controller mounted inside to hood. Justin at Lucky 8 did a nice job on the install.- Kenjengrif

This is the winch I decided to go with- Devon Discreet bumper mount with a Warn VR10000 - Lucky 8 did the install. Very happy with it, looking forward to next week when the MTRs go on and I fianlly get to try it out.- Kenjengrif

Need advice on possible front bumper hitch mount...
It might work, an ARB bumber with a winch on it must add a couple hundred pounds and I havent seen any complaints about how that impacts driving. Then again, with 600 pound on front, people inside, and the airstream on the back, you might be close to the overall weight limit. I tow a 19' Bambi...- Kenjengrif

LR4 owner needs help from LR3 owners
I have the RS sliders slim option- and love them. Great protection. I agree with Toddjb122, there is a slight difference in the noise. You can hear the compressor more, but only at idle, and for me it isn't an irritating sound. The other thing I notice is a little more vibration/resonation on...- Kenjengrif

RS Sliders and noise supression?
The compressor noise is noticable, but not at all bothersome. For me, the vibration is on acceleration, hardly any difference otherwise when cruising.- Kenjengrif

brake controller
You'll be happy with the Prodigy controller. I went ahead and mounted the controller bracket to the panel just above my right knee. Yes, I made holes, but I was able to snake the wire through the void behind the steering column ....- Kenjengrif

How do you outfit the LR3 for family vacations (gear hauling)
That looks like Oregon Inlet on the Outer Banks. I use this hitch carrier mainly so I can bring the fishing cart with me. If you have a dog that like to swim, the dog carrier matched with the rubber cargo mat is perfect for transporting a wet, sandy dog around.- Kenjengrif

Wrangler MTR vs Pirelli Scorpion ATR
The MTRs aren't deafening, but they do have a good hum to them. I just didnt want to give up that smooth ride on long trips and its not a big deal, but my mileage dropped by about 1 mpg. They do look pretty good on the truck.- Kenjengrif
