MPG's again. The dead horse is back....
I live in upstate NY. I got 14.5 MPG in winter, mixed highway (80%) and in town (20%). In summer, I usually got 18 MPG. I had once travel over 250 miles highway, I got over 20. Mine have about 12000 miles. LR3 SE '05 V8 -

LR3 vs. Touareg
I was there to make the same decision two years ago. Both are fine true SUVs (4x4). If you are looking for space like me, you would like to have LR3. I have no regrets so far. -
What is the beep?
"Ding" at 39 degrees is a nice feature to warn driver that there is passible icy road out there. I got it all the time when I drive it out my heated garage to harsh wintery road. Hope it helps. -
Thinking of buying an LR3.
Axg, I warried about the reliability as well when i bought mine in two years back. So far I did not have any problems except I got a transmission software update at a scheduled oil change. I live over 100 miles away from the nearest dealer. Go for it, you won't be disappointed. -
New to LR...Is this a good deal?
I got mine (05, SE 5 with navi and lighting package and less than 5K ) for 35k at end of 05. So far so good, not a single problem.
