Replaced passenger mirror glass, now getting blind spot and cross traffic errors

My passenger side mirror got shattered, the blind spot and cross traffic monitor worked with the shattered mirror. When i replaced and put the new mirror on i started getting the blind spot not available and cross traffic errors popping up. Nothing else has happened, nothing wrong all i did was replace the broken glass. any ideas why?

Did you use the OEM mirror? I tried aftermarket mirror and had problems.

Double check the electrical connector for the blind spot light in the mirror.

Like richord mentioned, use an OEM mirror.

yes its an after market mirror not OEM. once you changed to an OEM Richord errors went away?

After market, its hard for me to justify $200 for a mirror from Land Rover lol

The blind spot monitor tests the mirror LED's I think by sensing the current or resistance. If it senses an incorrect measure, the blind spot monitor module will not work correctly. Many things are also measured by modules (ECU's) such as the cameras but you can still use after market cameras. The blind spot monitor sensor, located behind the rear bumper is also coded with the VIN number of the car and if it is on the right or left side of the vehicle. I had to replace the sensor since it went bad and my mirror glass because it did not display the warning. I had to reprogram the blind spot monitor module for it to work with a used replacement module.

I did the same with after market mirror but was able to save the little circuit board from my original mirror and replaced it. Getting the error too but mine is more mysterious.
I had my left floor flooded due to sunroof leak. So after the rain while driving my BSM DOES work. When stopping the error comes. The error is on when it is dry outside. I guess with acceleration the water in the floor foes the the back of the car and connects something. Do you have any idea what should I try to check first? Thanks

You need to check the wiring harness in the right front foot well.
Remove the the door sill step covers and lift the wiring harness out of the tray.
Carefully cut the tape off. Separate each wire and look for breaks.
Usually a spliced wire would have a break.
