    Well, I had to run out and check that rumor as I have never seen the statement in any official guide or bulletin. Anyways, not in my case. Whether the bonnet is open or closed, the readings are identical.

    I concur. In fact I did a test. I left one fob in the vehicle and attempted locking with the other fob. There was no issue. Going out on a limb here... Are you absolutely certain your vehicle battery and fob battery are good? If so, perform a system reset??
