    I'm not suggesting any one situation on its own would cause a clutch failure on an automatic transmission. But undue, high volume load on a transmission, over heating, etc. without transmission service wouldn't be good.

    Sounds like you burned out the clutches or braking elements... how did you do that? Four wheeling it in Automatic mode? Not changing the fluid and filter?

    An imperial gallon is 20% larger then the US gallon... at which point, you have poor mileage ;-) As opposed to relying on the electronics, do it the old fashioned way paying attention to fuel used, and miles driven. Tell us what the calculator says.

    Too rich at idle... coincidentally the O2 sensor drives that. As does a poorly operating injector. I'm assuming the plugs are good..

    Probably something simple and electronic in nature. Difficult to tell without codes, of course. While you're in there schedule a transmission service.

    I had the engine replaced (on extended warranty) on the LR2 by LR. While they were in there they replaced a bunch of stuff, n/c. Best service I ever had.
