Jumping on this thread -
So I redid the entire cooling system on my 2010 LR4 5.0 as part of my engine rebuild. I bought OEM parts from Atlantic British...we will see how things hold up.
I have posted in other threads about the issue from my "Amazon" water pump...
A remaining element to this is the EPB recalibration, the so-called "Bed-in" procedure.
I have not yet done this and I think that is what is causing a relatively new fault: "C0062-54 Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor - Missing calibration".
They were kind enough to forward me the wiring...
Update -
The EPB has been fully installed and everything at this point is buttoned up.
Photographs below of the old actuator unit with the integrated cables to pull the EPB brake shoes.
Getting that part out is really challenge. Furthermore, getting all the EPB components off the wheels...
Always a good day when you can finish something!
And always a Land Rover Day when you need to do something new after finishing..........
Good luck and keep us posted!
I have been through something like six batteries on my 2010 LR4.
Concur with the group - swap batteries.
One issue with them (amongst many!) is heat. I have lived in two extreme heat and corrosion environments - which wrecked two.
My approach is if I start having any issues - I just get a...
So the plot thickens...but maybe only a little.
I have the JLR windshield after all (photo below).
However, I suspect this might be a LR3 / DISCO3 window and NOT the LR4 variant.
Would this (using the LR3 windscreen instead of the the LR4) still cause the issues I am having?
Or are the...
The parts have arrived and now that we have both the "front" and "rear" level sensors / floats...we are ready to resolve this problem of fuel gauge reading zero.
Additionally, while I never had error codes before, I am now have a DTC (which is new) with my GAP IID Tool: "PCM. P0461-29 (68)...
I replaced both the High Pressure and Low Pressure Fuel pumps with my recent build.
This does seem like it could be an issue with the fuel supply and the symptoms are identical to work trucks I drive (land cruisers) which, due to very poor fuel, get the fuel strainer/filter in the fuel tank...
Mid-July Update:
First, We have installed the new rotors and pads. I purchased the EBC kit from Atlantic British:
EBC Performance Brake Rebuild Kit, Front And Rear, 3GD Series Sport Brake Rotors And Greenstuff Pads With Wear Sensors For Land Rover LR4
Those work excellent and there is...
Okay...so I was completely wrong.
I had to look into it and sure enough - there are indeed two different size springs in there.
Which explains why I had issues with the replacements I purchased from Atlantic British - I purchased two
PCV Valve Service Kit LR133579, Includes Diaphragm And Cap...
Update -
Where we stand mid-July with the light upgrade, and perhaps it would be worth opening a new thread on Baja Designs?
I am not happy with the present layout but am very happy with the way they look and sit on the truck. The issue here is that they are too low for the "Protection Bar"...
I sourced these parts from Atlantic British for my recent job. So far so good but as @timc90 indicates, even then you sometimes have issues. For the time being, it seems that the job has been successful...but we are still early into this.
I would say the parts that would give you the most...
You can see the springs on my 2010 LR4 which we did a couple months ago.
The springs for the V8 are the same size although I had trouble with the new springs...and had to reuse the old ones....
Welcome !
Keep us posted - this is one of those deceptively complicated and tricky subjects (how hard could it be to mount a couple accessory lights?)..........
Always love hearing about folks positive experiences - especially with the 5.0!
The incessant Youtubers "never buy" and "worst" whatever completely overlook all the great driving and things these trucks can do.
Great story and hope others can chime in -
Does anyone have experience with JS alternators?
I ask because I had a bad sales experience with them and despite wanting an "upgrade"........went with a new OEM (sourced from Atlantic British).
Could this be an issue (either the alternator or the wiring-up)?
I would throw in changing the water pump as well as check the oil cooler (my 2010 LR4 had an awful leak from a gasket breach on that thing).
Important note: OEM or better ONLY for this stuff.
This is what an Amazon pump looked like after 6 months (the internal gasket failed because it was a...
I ordered this via eBay -
2005-2016 Land Rover LR3 LR4 Center Console Lid Arm Rest Cushion Cover Pad
A couple photos attached below.
The color is black but it is a brown-black so matches pretty well with the light tan / chocolate brown interior upholstery (and black/silver trims).
eBay...
Is there an update from @M32H32IS ?
I am wondering if the problem was in fact the drive line (carrier bearing) and if replacing the prop shafts did the trick.
I am not replacing the prop shafts as a part of my rebuild...but don't have a good sense how long the prop shafts last.
Regarding the very popular topic, and controversial subject of Pads and Rotors on the LR4 from this forum...several other threads worth looking at include

Tribe,
Adding my two cents on this (as everyone can see...old as the truck itself) controversy at the Thread -
