    Air Suspension Performance

@ugmw177 did you have to program it with a GAP tool or anything like that or was it plug-n-play? I can see myself pulling the genuine Hitachi and servicing it while installing the cheap knock off and using that in the interim (if it works). I'll still return it if that's an option. They...

    Air Suspension Performance

Of course, I am in the process of attempting to contact the seller and cancel the order. We'll see how that goes. The listing is really deceptive. It lists the original part number (LR023964) that is listed on British Atlantic for the OEM Hitachi compressor and it also lists all the years and...

Is this for real? Same part number as British Atlantic. Fraction of the price. Too good to be true...

Does anyone knows a video of removing and installing a driver side door exterior handle on 2012 LR4

Here is one that is for the driver's side passenger's door handle. Starting about 8:30 in Christian starts to pull off the interior of the door and goes all the way through to taking off the door handle and repairing it. Understand it is the passenger's door, but might give you a sense of the...

    Suspension Fault Issues

I was watching an episode of LR Time where they were working on a suspension issue on an LR3. They put soap and water on everything and eventually found it was the front valve block that was leaking. Replaced or serviced the block (can't remember which) and "Bob's your uncle". At some point...

Your price point should be fine. They are cool. I love mine, but I've come to learn they tend not to be jump in, turn the key, and drive away vehicles. They have more capacities and features than your Honda Fit, for example, but that means there's more to go wrong, and it does.

    Fully Loaded

I hear ya brother, totally agree. I had a few heavy loads and the truck seems to like them. Those annoying first two gears actually become useful and the ride seems more grounded.

    Fully Loaded

So here is the storage unit after 10 or so loads. Luckily, I only live a few blocks from the storage place. I won't show you what is still in my garage, but leave it to say that I am about half-done emptying it out. This isn't my first rodeo when it comes to this exercise in futility. I...

    Fully Loaded

The Clover Rover is earning her keep today. Spring cleaning, clearing out the garage and stacking it in storage. Fold flat seats are amazing. Tall cabin too. I can load it completely and the process for doing so never seems tortured or awkward. Everything just slides in. This is the first...

    Bike Racks!!! Any ideas?

Thanks @ftillier . Yes, now that you mention it, I do recall seeing a button like that. Well, that makes a lot more sense. Heck, you could even take it though a regular car wash if you cared to. (We have a touchless that actually does a pretty good job, but now I mostly hand wash it.)

    Bike Racks!!! Any ideas?

I have 8 and 10-year old daughters that like to ride. I also have a receiver hitch on order. I did so with a bike rack in mind (among other things). The one annoying thing is that I have to disable the rear parking sensors with a GAP tool? That's kind of insane. It's a bike rack for gawd...

Proud Rhino bumper, bolts, and washer tank.

Did a general search on the forum and came up with this: https://www.landroverworld.org/threads/latest-recommendations-for-front-bumpers.41449/ Maybe not entirely on point, but there are some pics and they talk about the installation process. Seems more geared to Tactical, but there is...

Has anyone run the Rubicon Trail in an LR3 or LR4?

@greiswig I hear you as well and, in full discloser, I'm talking out of my nether regions because I got my stock non-HD 2011 LR4 stuck up to it's axles in mud on a powerline access road/field and had to be towed out with about 100 yards of cable and a couple of tow trucks a month after I...

Has anyone run the Rubicon Trail in an LR3 or LR4?

"What's more fun? Driving a slow car fast, or a fast car slow?" (This came up in a discussion on what is adequate horsepower for a daily driver.) I think the same may apply here. It's the challenge of taking a vehicle that isn't quite up to the task and seeing if you can find a way to work...

AC condenser, leaking into the passenger footwell

Update: Whatever it is, seems to be a non-issue. Rig is running fine and I don't see any more water puddles underneath. I just don't know where the A/C condenser is supposed to drain. If that's the right location, then it looks like it is just another false alarm.

    2011 LR4 Honeymoon - Day 1

Okay, I pull into the local supermarket to grab a few things for a late dinner. It's pretty dark, except for the overhead parking lot lights. The lot is nearly empty, except for a black Range Rover. Thinking it would be fun and amusing, I park next to it with my black LR4. When I get out of...

AC condenser, leaking into the passenger footwell

I just got my A/C recharged and now I noticed a small puddle of water in my driveway. It's water. Not coolant, not oil, plain water. I took a bit of toilet paper and let it drip onto it. No smell. No color. No oiliness. Could this be from a drain pipe? In the pics below, you can see a...

Rear air conditioning lines leaking - quick fix

Cold air. Yum. Line fixed (for now) and A/C working. Glad it wasn't anything mechanical. That could have gotten real expensive, real fast. My friend the mechanic is a real good guy. He charged me on the low side of fair. He said that he actually replaced an engine on a Land Rover a few...

    LR4 Trailer Hitch Receiver Needed!

Thanks @Rover Range I do like that Safarigard. It doesn't change your departure angle. Double mounted to your slide in receiver and recovery ring. That seems more robust than something you snap in and out (maybe correctly, maybe not). Plus, it's a Class IV. No beating around the bush on...

    LR4 Trailer Hitch Receiver Needed!

Okay, the $35 one off ebay is rated for 500 lbs. tongue weight and the $160 one from British Atlantic is rated for 500 lbs. and the $235 one from Amazon is rate for 600 lbs. and the $600-$660 OEM one from British Atlantic is listed as 550 lbs. (even though it is stamped on the metal as rated for...

Thanks @Rover Range . I saw online there is a J-B Weld putty as well. Maybe you two are thinking of the same application and techniques, just different products.

Rear air conditioning lines leaking - quick fix

Aluminum. Update: Just got off the phone and he is going to evacuate the system and try some J-B Weld for the time being. He says it will need to cure overnight and probably into the next day. He'll recharge the system and see if it holds. He sounded a little concerned, but I told him it's...

Rear air conditioning lines leaking - quick fix

Just got off the phone with my mechanic and he found a pinhole leak. Would like to replace the line but is struggling to source it. He's a great guy and a good mechanic, independent shop owner, but not a LR tech. Anyone know where a guy would source air conditioning line? For the time being...

    2011 LR4 Honeymoon - Day 1

So after two-and-a-half months the honeymoon is officially over. Like the ending of most honeymoons, it wasn't anything big, but a bunch of small things. It happened this evening when I was at the after-hours clinic waiting to get seen because I didn't have time to go during the day. They...
