The jeeps have a camera that goes through the center bore of the spare, seems to work well until you hang something on the spare tire that blocks the view (like a trasharoo). Wiring is another matter, since the camera is in the hatch not the tailgate... -

Just make sure you wash it well when you get home to get rid of any salty sand up in the frame/wheel wells. -

Smart Key Not found - Solution
Whenever I get emission testing done they plug their scanner into the running car, they definitely don't turn it off, plug in, then turn on. Cursory web search indicates that hot plugging is supported by design. -

I don't think the rear diff has a removable cover like solid axles do, though have to admit I haven't spent a lot of time looking at the rear diff in the LR4. -

Multiple repairs on a 70K miles 2013 LR4: what can I expect next
Water pump and crossover pipes is regular maintenance on these. Oil cooler maybe less so. At 75k miles, do transmission, transfer case, diff fluids. Air and cabin filters if you haven't done them yet. I'd also check the state of the desiccant in the suspension compressor, it tends to turn to... -

Mine had been done that way when I bought it, I ended up taking it to a shop to do poly in the front bushings too. Didn't like the harshness of the ride and have since gone back to oem. -

I've been lucky so far in that I've found bubbles, the front valve block has been an issue for me repeatedly, and I will probably look to replace, or at least replace the VOSS fittings. I think they're intended to be single use, and I've had to undo them a few times to clean the block out of... -

Aluminum thermostat housing
When I had the cross over pipes done, the shop that did it (LR-only independent) said that the thermostat is easy enough to change if it goes bad, and that they usually don't so it wasn't worth changing. They did do the water pump though. -
