When I broke my compressor bracket it bent the mounting tabs on the compressor itself, made more noise since the rubber isolators no longer did anything, but it still worked. Towing - I Have Not Done My Homework...
Assuming it's hardened steel equivalent to a grade 8 bolt, and a shear strength of 60% of tensile strength (150,000 psi), that 1/2" pin could hold 17000 lbs. Even low carbon steel would give you shear strength over 7000 lbs. Vibrations won't loosen the pin, unlike bolt on solutions. I'm... -

I would think so, unless it was poorly installed. If there's no leak from that area I wouldn't worry about it. Odd that you'd have a leak if the radiator was replaced 20k miles ago. I'd just get that fixed. If you do decide to replace the rear crossover, you might as well do everything else... -

Water actually has a higher specific heat than coolant - the coolant makes it a worse coolant, but it won't freeze. Adding in the coolant will raise the boiling point a little, but not a ton. Preventing boiling is accomplished through pressurizing the system. -

Oil extractor
That pump can't handle gear oil, if you intend to service the transfer case and differentials. I got my mityvac second hand for less than $40, have been very happy with it so far. It is somewhat large, though. -

Why in the world would engineers set the fill port higher than the fill level? Did they start out filling up to that level and then realized that they were blowing seals so reduced it? -

Interesting about the Gorilla, those were my top choice, but more money. I put my caliper on the Eisen ones, and the shank is a smidge smaller diameter than OEM. Did not detect any play once installed (before torqued), so likely within manufacturing tolerances. -

What jack do you recommend to store in your trunk?
lift rods don't affect maximum droop, the shocks do when they're fully extended, so unless you install a SYA kit the factory jack should reach fine. Some people use a small bottle jack, there's a dimple in the lower control arms that you can use to lift just one wheel. -

Keep an eye on the fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir as you retract the pistons, in case it had been changed/topped up at some point in the past. You don't want it to overflow, the fluid will eat paint. Do you have a copy of the workshop manual to use as reference? Are you doing... -

5.0 supercharged into an LR4?
I don't know that it's that the ECU doesn't care when you drop an LS into a disco 2, but more that the system wasn't nearly as advanced/complicated. There are many more sensors now, and more ECUs talking to one another over proprietary networks, expecting just the right message protocol. -

I'm about to do my 5th alignment this year, so having a place that will just sort it would be nice. First shop did a bad job - steering wheel was crooked. I took it back, and they gave it back to me even worse, claimed that the next step was to move the steering wheel on the column. Nope...
