    Coolant change/flush?

yes, you have to replace the entire pan. You can however get a two-piece setup where the pan is separate from the filter, making subsequent changes easier.

Water on passengerside floor board (not sunroof drains)

I agree it’s likely the cowl cover. Mine is tweaked too on the passenger side, I will need to keep an eye out. Last I looked fcpeuro carried them.

    Lift Question

I'd check that you aren't out of spec. You should be able to measure from the center of the wheel to the wheel arch, and cross check to the workshop manual, accounting for your 2.5" lift. It could be your rear end was configured to be high, independently of the lift rods.

What Did You Do To Your LR Today?

Here's a test fit of the sleeping platform the day I finished it: Got to try it out on a trip through the Washington Cascade Range this past weekend. It was nice to be able to store recovery gear underneath and not have to shuffle so much around the cab when going to sleep. I do wish the...

What Did You Do To Your LR Today?

Removed the second row seats to start building a sleeping platform so I can use the space for storage underneath.

Hard, jarring, harsh ride over holes and road imperfections

Had both control arms fail at the front bushing in close succession on a minivan this summer due to rust. Lucky it was on a country road and glad we weren’t on the highway. It’s scary af.

    Paint Cost

If you go wheeling, the pin striping is cringe inducing... I usually let the jeeps go through first since they're wider, but I've been considering PPF on the whole hood and sides, but haven't gotten to it.

Hard, jarring, harsh ride over holes and road imperfections

I moved away from the poly back to OEM, and it made a noticeable difference in ride quality for the better. Will see how long they last but given how little we drive it, hopefully a good long while.

What Did You Do To Your LR Today?

Drove it up to mt baker in northern Washington. Got to use the xlifter to spend the night, and filled up twice. Trouble free trip. Great road trip car.

Clever use of the spade connector, how did you get it on the existing cable?

    Replacing spare tire jack?

Will that bottle jack extend far enough to get the rear wheel off the ground? The rear suspension has a stupid amout of droop.

    Blown Engine 2011 w/126K miles

I do my changes every 5k miles, and it usually comes out about a quart less coming out than going in. Replaced PCV diaphragms, but I don't think it made much difference, but only one oil change since.

    Pulsing while steering

I had tight/loose/tight when turning and it was the U-joint on the lower steering shaft that had one of the axis binding (hence tightening the feel when that axis rotated). If you haven't done the power steering fluid start there, but if it persists then that's the next thing I'd look at.

Best LR4 Brakes for Heavy vehicle + towing.

So you could run LR3 wheels too then? Or is the LR4 caliper slightly bigger such that they won't fit?

    Pulsing while steering

If by pulsing you mean it takes more effort when turning the lower steering shaft u-joint is likely on its way out. Straight forward repair if that's it.

Driving in access mode on the highway

If you get the XLifter, you can drop 15mm at the push of a button, I've done that for longer highway trips and found that curves on the highway feel more composed. The owner's manual says if you drive over 100MPH it will lower slightly. Haven't tried that though, never gotten close to triple...

    Beware ye plastic sill covers!

I need to pull the rear bumper skin off and treat the tow hook area (and maybe more) as there is some rust forming there... I'm planning on using POR-15.

    Replacing spare tire jack?

When I was looking for a high lift jack I had narrowed it down to this one, though I’m unsure of quality: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RWZ7KH3 Sprinter one looks good too

    Valvoline Restore & Protect?

Same, first time using my extractor I wanted to see how much it got out. Removed the drain plug from below and nothing came out other than a few drops from the residue coating everything. I was impressed.

Do durable side wall tires exist for the LR4?

I've been happy with my Toyo AT3, they've done well for me offroad too.

    Oil Reminder

My driveway is sloped both front to back and side to side, so that's probably a contributing factor to not checking.

    Oil Reminder

I don't check oil between oil changes, but it's been pretty consistent - put in 8L, get out 7L, over 5k miles.
