    Spacers for LR4

Sorry for my dumb question, but you are using LR3 wheels - right? Yes, I believe you will need spacers all around, unless you get the Compomotive wheels - no spacers needed.

    DuraTracs - Handling?

I totally agree with Jud above, I've done some of those routes and they are amazing. I have not been through there with my LR4, but hope to at some point. Now related to Duratracs, I will be thinking about going to the AT2 BFGs next year or the Duratracs, and leaning toward the latter. I just...

    DuraTracs - Handling?

Jud may have something to add, as I have been to Moab and a few trails there, but not in my LR4 - in a Jeep or truck. Depending where you are in the southern part of UT, Moab is about 5 hours and Zion is about an hour. There are various other off-road trails around southern UT, but I would...

    DuraTracs - Handling?

The new tires look awesome!!! I may go this route down the line, not sure yet. My BFGs have been good to me, but would be nice to have something that is better in mud. We will see. I did just get the Kaymar rear bumper and hope to install in the next couple weeks. I love northern Utah, as I...

T44 rock sliders - Test fitting (long post)

Thanks, Umberto! That's what I thought since mine appears to stay pretty clean. Awhile back when I first installed the T44 sliders, I remember posting a photo of how exposed the air compressor was and was pretty surprised. I am glad to see it's not an issue, as I think we would have experienced...

T44 rock sliders - Test fitting (long post)

Umberto, One more question (sorry, but I couldn't edit above), did you notice that the compressor itself was really dirty? I think I mentioned before that with the T44 sliders, the air compressor itself is much more exposed. I put some plastic there to somewhat shield it and still provide...

Long Ranger fuel tank for sale

I'm not quite handy enough to go that route, though I would love it. Being that I am not in UT a lot, also depends on if I move back to New England. I think I will keep my LR4 long term. Probably the only thing that would sway me is if I love the upcoming new Defender (likely not). If...

Long Ranger fuel tank for sale

I need one day since he is holding my Kaymar for me at work! :-) I am so curious how your Kaymar install goes - is he up to that yet or still working on the long range fuel tank? Remind him that I sold you the LHS tire carrier that came with my Kaymar. Pedram also needs a little time to...

T44 rock sliders - Test fitting (long post)

Thanks, Umberto!!! My compressor has not become louder, but I definitely may need to give it a good cleaning. Wow, that's a lot of debris build up!!!

T44 rock sliders - Test fitting (long post)

Hi Axel, I think you mean Tactical 4x4? They are not hard to install, but you will need to lift the compressor. Tactical supplies you with a bracket which works fine. The only issue (and it's not a big deal to me) is that the compressor is closer to the floor boards and is quite a bit loader...

    DuraTracs - Handling?

Hey Axel... I have the same question, I run slightly less in front than in the back to somewhat stick with LR recommendations, but with the weight of my truck, and my BFG E-rated tires, not sure if that's needed. Once I had the Kaymar in the back, then the rear will become about 300 pounds heavier.

    DuraTracs - Handling?

Hey DiscoMike, would love your advice. This is a very helpful thread. I know I've brought this up before, but what are you guys running with BFG A/T KOs (265/65R18) E rating. I am doing about 45 front / 48 rear and seems to be good, but I still in search of that optimum pressure. I wonder if...

Long Ranger fuel tank for sale

I would jump on this in a minute, but I have decided against the long-range fuel tank for now. I do have my Kaymar in a box waiting to install it! :-)

OEM Winch Mount and WARN Winch for Sale

Hello Everyone, A friend of mine in Southern CA asked if I would post a new OEM winch mount and WARN winch that he bought, but has now decided not to install on his LR4. As you may know, this winch amount alone at the dealership can run over $4,000, so this is a pretty good deal. Here is...

    new BFG T/A KO2

I agree 100% I have the 265/65R18 size now in the BFG ATs and love them - I'll likely get the next generation sometime next year when they are released in that size, though may consider the 275/6518 size. For 20% more sidewall protection on already pretty good protection, I am not concerned...

    DuraTracs - Handling?

A friend of mine has the DuraTracs, but in the 18" size (they are about the biggest you can go in an LR3) and he says they are fine on the road. I don't think you will have any problems, as I thought that they were quite good on the road. I have the BFG ATs and you are right, they are AWESOME...

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

His are Toyos, but I am just not sure how well LR4s do with big MT tires. I feel like I am pushing the limit with mine, but they are fine. Nothing is ever simple. ;-)

    MY14 LR4: JotaDe's Thoughts

Hey JD, Just let me know! The monthly gathering this weekend is cancelled because it is the NCLR annual event down in Hollister (Friday to Sunday). There are lots of activities, but I can only go for the day tomorrow. I may not be able to go in November or December, but let's keep in touch and...

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

Yes, I think brandonbushway - he has the Toyo Open Country MTs and had to do the Johnson lift and pretty major modifying to prevent rubbing. I know recently he has had some problems with vibrations and finding a place that can properly balance an MT tire. Maybe he can chime in.......

Everything about tires for LR4/ LR3 with 18" wheels

Hi Umberto, I heard good things about the Nittos and I think they are pretty tame on the paved roads. You do a LOT of driving, so I think you would want something very on-road comfortable. I also hear great things about the Toyo Open Country AT 2s. As you know, I have the BFG A/T KOs and I...
