The ball joint is pre-installed onto the control arm. But yeah, they could have cut it somehow. I do remember inspecting their work and didn't see it. The boot problem was noticed when I was re-doing my brakes later on and doing a tech inspection.- powershift

I went to a shop to do my LCA's and after a few months I saw my ball joint boot torn. I brought it back and they replaced it under warranty. I need to check them again, but they are not the OEM brand. They are some other brand (same maker as Land Rover), but cheap asf if you ask me because it...- powershift

Radiator replacement
Belts? Gates is the best. I had a leak in my rad at 97k mi and everyone said to get the Land Rover brand radiator since aftermarket versions are inferior. If you buy Land Rover brand coolant then you can in the future use blue light to look for leaks like a detective searching for blood on...- powershift

Showoff Your LR4
I took a trip to Southern Utah and climbed from Vegas to 9,800' with a full load of all my gear. I've got a weight set for exercising, 10 gallons of gas, 5 gal diesel, 18 gallons of water and a bunch of other heavy stuff. I'm not sure. All the windows have the Land Rover brand on them except the windshield. It has Pilkington but all the others have Pilkington brand too.- powershift

If I recall correctly, there are two electrical plugs that are similar and could get mixed up when doing the rear cross-over. Does your transfer case switch from Hi to Lo and back?- powershift

Colder plugs...worse mileage?
Gas mileage could drop if the system needs to pull back timing advance from using the wrong plugs.- powershift

Tips for cleaning radiator?

I'm super curious about the diagram of the front wheels in the DIC. When I turn the wheels in 4L the diagram appears and when I travel straight it disappears. Valve cover gasket replacement ($3,200)
It seems silly to pay for that. My shop charges $200 hr (the most expensive) and with 8hrs of work its $1600 + parts which aren't that much in the Land Rover world.
