Highly unlikely any of those are load rated to the heavy lr4. Usually 'cheap' becomes expensive at some point in time. You are trying to save, what, maybe a few hundred $? Unless it's the 18's you can find on this and other LR enthusiast sites, they will not fit and/or are not engineered for... -

Their wheels are cast to have more clearance. Very little of the equation is the offset or you could simply put a 10mm spacer and call it good with an lr3 wheel. I think your phone made a typo - you should proofread ;) "bringing calipers" ... assume you meant grinding ? Yeah, we all went... -
Snow Chains
the 275/65 is too tall and too wide I bet. The reason the folks here are making RUDs work is that they're on a stock 19" size which is so much shorter it's down in the area of the UCA where there's plenty of clearance. Cables might work but would probably knick the UCA on a 32" tire. -

I missed that the rods came w the lr. But you're wasting every dollar on an alignment when you don't need rods on 19" wheels. Don't be a tool. You aren't driving down 36" deep snow lanes either. A snow bank or brief super dry fresh pow maybe. And to go where? To where it becomes 40" where... -

I'd bet a case of microbrew he simply doesn't want to worry/deal with the air struts. The coil deal actually reduces maximum clearances and also reduces articulations. It becomes a stiffer car-like event off road IMO. They're not terrible, but the cross linked air is engineered to seriously... -

ok, so that $1400, add to it the cost of alignment and rods, now you have about 1700? Spacers and cheap lr3 wheels and you're off. You don't need iidtool unless you plan to screw w stuff. If you get an 18", you can fit a little bigger tire like 31.5. Generally 18's are cheaper tires than... -

Struts ideally do not lose enough air overnight to notice. If the dash ever says something about it, then it's more than a slow leak. Between that and nothing, it's actually hard to know how slow or at all seeing as they do things that cause the compressor to come on even when perfectly new... -
