Well, I've never seen the struts shrink after hanging low. However, whenever I've been removing a strut, I already deflated the system anyway so no power + no air = no movement. -

Having done it with a hurt wrist from an MTB crash I figured more clearance would be useful, also being the first time and not knowing what was where. Ironically the two electrical fittings were far easier than expected which were the main reason I wanted more working space. -

Those may not fit correctly as they are from pre 2007 when the wheel centering hubs were definitely the same as an lr3 and lr4. You will need to do some careful research though because the hub of Range Rovers and the wheel mounting may have changed yet again in more recent times. That when... -

I should clarify though that the LR3 uses non synthetic oil or maybe a blend but anyway that part is cheap too. So, I just checked and their website even says normally $80 but right now $60 ! Very hard to beat considering the hassle even if you have the vacuum or a 2 post lift. -

Agreed. Conversely, I never bother with the oil changes on the rovers. It's less than $100 at the dealer and bulk of that is what the oil would cost anyway. If I DIY, then I have to spend way too much time fussing around with the set-up as well as driving somewhere anyway to dispose of it...
