I bet since you’ve just got a spacing issue and the tray is steel I presume, any competent welder could easily fabricate and weld on the necessary “spacer” so that it’s solid. That’s an easy option. Maybe cost you a but more, but maybe LK8 will just refund you some and you can work on it to get...
Ok I actually used a phone and called Snomaster and talked to Todd which was awesome. He said the next batch is supposed to be on the container from South Africa by April.
Aaah yea I hadn’t tried this approach. The winch does want to bring the aft end in first leaving the front edge lower and at a bad angle. I’ll try again!
What’s the trick to cramming a 265/64 into the spare location? I finally picked up a spare and went to reinstall a BFG 265 and for the life of me can’t get it in there. It’s totally hung up on the “horns” near the rear exhaust. I removed the heat shield and deflated all the way to about 15 psi...
Auto-up is normal any time you disconnect. Just reset the windows. Can't speak to the low battery warning. It's possible it's a coincidence and your battery really is low?
Hey all, just passed my Ham technician class and reading up here on setups. I have zero radio experience. Never played with a CB, though I did have a Motorola walkie-talkie for skiing. Anyways, I've seen a few people recommend the Baofeng and Kenwood. Can I get some guidance on what you all are...
You should be able to just pull the big bolt and remove the arm. This is exactly my plan since it's my daily. Probably go with a bare bones T44 bumper and have my fabricator make the mounts welded in place, the just pull the large hinge bolt when not running the arms.
I second the advice from @ryanjl re timing chains and it's in line with independent mechanics I've spoken to as well. Transmission fluid is still a headscratcher for me given the PITA pan. Wait till I notice some issues, or find a shop to perform the "snap 'n swap" on the pan. Anyways, yeah...
Personally I'd say...maybe. I'm in a similar position as you with 93k on the clock and have a long wishlist of parts on order, and hopfully Gobi coming in a few weeks, even approaching 6 figure mileage. Do you love it? Are you keeping it even when she needs guides/chains etc? Also, adding...
I have a ig post on this. I got my parts, cheapest with shipping for my case, from Parts LR Paramus. I happened to have the right size thread tap in my tool chest as the T-case is not threaded. It literally was 10 minutes and made a huge improvement. Cheers
Yeah this suggests the product they are potentially carrying was only half-baked and now they are trying to bring it home. Highly questionable on part of supplier.
