Welp, my turn. Got the code today. First time for me at 119,500. Either replace sensor or try cleaning the TB first. Not sure which way I’ll go. Or perhaps both given my mileage.
Thanks. So I took that advice and did the reset and it happened again after repairing the truck and the separate remote. So it’s gotta be one of those. I’ll order a new remote and see what happens next!
I thought that too at first but I have one close neighbor out here and we checked the remotes together and it didn’t trigger my door. It’s a little unsettling knowing it can just open like this especially when headed out of town. So now I keep it unplugged until we can resolve it
Why create a new thread when I can bump an 11yo one!!
We’ve moved to a new house and something is definitely going on with the Lr4 and new garage. After placing cameras around, it’s either a ghost or a ghost in the machine. For the past month, I’ve randomly found the garage door opened at all...
Ok so here’s my homemade attempt at a half plate thing. It was going to be a temporary thing but I’ve not fine tuned the box. Anyways. I used t-nuts on the bottom and used longer hex button head screws to bolt the plate through the left side tie-downs. Headed out this weekend for a last-minute...
I've hoped they'd make a plate for our rear area but no luck. Easiest route is to get some 3/4 plywood or nice baltic birch and cut it to bolt to the four cargo hooks, then mount a nice slide like a Tortuga onto the wood. Or get fancy and throw some marine carpeting on it to soften up. I've been...
It's pretty straightforward. Per the manual, be going less than 24mph, taking foot off gas and switching into N = "slowing", then hit the button, wait for it, and back into D. There's not much more to it. And yes, I think I recall the computer will give you a message telling you the shift cannot...
I just did the same with a Redarc to handle a Micro Minnie over the 4th. But I said THWI and used a hole saw to mount the button in that panel after disassembling an area on the right side trim hoping to find a suitable spot. I didn't.
Not exactly prompt customer service for what is basically a template they are operating off. I get they have a stake in the outcome and they think they are making the highest quality ad to bring high dollar, but at the end of it the truck will speak for itself.
Since this topic has gotten so broad, and while I love the R1T too, especially here in CA where there's lots of charging infrastructure, I've been really really interested in the new '24 Silverado Bison 3.0 diesel. Never been a GM person, but it looks like a really convincing overland package...
I got the ram mount for mounting an ipad pro 9". I used Ram mount double suction mount to windshield, kinda blocks the hood some even as low as possible, and a cradle for the ipad and a 1,5" arm. It's super solid.
Go to HF and get yourself their long reach low pro jack: https://www.harborfreight.com/automotive/jacks-jack-stands/floor-jacks/3-ton-long-reach-low-profile-professional-floor-jack-with-rapid-pump-orange-64241.html
Put it in whatever mode you like; either way you need to jack her up till you...
Having done it, and now with the hack, what's your thinking on if this could be done in the field on a prolonged excursion should a compressor fail and you're carrying a spare? Sounds like it could be fairly possible, maybe a half day, but won't be stranded if out in the desert for example.
It could have been a unicorn if it had HD. Doesn’t appear to, but fascinating it was probably a wealthy-ish owners second home car for putzing around Palm Springs.
This will be interesting to see what it gavels at. Same mileage as me, but the location probably plays a big factor is sale price. Not sure what the "overland" or off-road scene in PA is. Y'all run amok through Amish country or? Anyways, it will be fun to see sales price...
I ran Terras in my 322. It’s more of a highway light off-road tire and for the LR4 I wanted to to get into some gnarlier terrain so just stepped up a notch in their range. I was really happy with Terras too. The Ridges have been prettt great off-road. But still don’t cut it in sloppy mud.
You could also jump on the pizza cutter bandwagon and go skinny but taller profile. There was a comprehensive post on it a week or so ago. I run compos with ridge grapplers at 265/65. They’ve been pretty awesome across lots of different terrain. Snow runs down to 15psi. But I may try the pizzas...
