That is a really good video comparison of the Defender vs a D4. It really does puzzle me - where did the Defender space go? Inner/Outer Tie rod ends replacement
A bit late now for me to mention it, but when I need ball joints, I replace the whole control arm. If you have to pay for labour, the cost works out about the same and one gets all new everything. Sometimes, I even purchase new bolts as well. I am just lazy I guess. -

Possible windshield prep?
I did not have to do the tape fix on the last windscreen change out, but if I do get wind noise, I run a vertical strip of black 3M electrical tape up the inside edge of the A pillar taping it to the windscreen. Done right, it hardly shows at all. -
