Louder than “normal LR4” engine/idle noises POST timing chain replacement - help my friends! (audio/video link in post!)

Hopefully we'll hear back; I always like to close the loop on these sorts of thing...

2014 LR4 SCV6 - oil leaking from vacuum pump and upper timing cover on passenger side

Ouch - Guess I'd ask: - how many hours of work is it - what do you charge per hour - what do the parts cost I'm guessing on the V6 that the supercharge has to come off? $2K at $150/hr is 13hr 20min; why does it take this long? I'm sure others on this thread can chime in on that question and...

    Air Suspension Performance

I sometimes put my key in a hydration bag which goes in the trunk; I don't have any problems with this location! Sorry, not what you want to hear. It's good to hear you're beyond the suspension issues... Did you find any ways to locate the key via a scanning type tool, I read RFID but are...

Louder than “normal LR4” engine/idle noises POST timing chain replacement - help my friends! (audio/video link in post!)

Sounds like something is loose; there's also a tick tick noise; an underlying noise rather than a predominant noise. Have you tried taking off the skid plate and looking from underneath and then at the same time using your hands to check for loose parts? I think the stethoscope is also a good...

The job when the bolts are not rusty is pretty quick; I took mine off a few times; probably within 30minutes (off and on) once I'd done it enough times (which I did!)! Keep us posted BigBri.

I would do this but there is a little work to do the conversion, a few existing pipes have to be modified I believe!

    Compressor running

In this post I was seeing 258 psi (AMK): https://www.landroverworld.org/threads/2012-lr4-reluctant-to-lower-from-off-road-suspension-mode.44636/post-241042 Not sure where to purchase a Hitachi? I bought my AMK from the UK, it was cheaper and arrived in about a week.

    Air Suspension Performance

Ahh yes, exactly the issue I had per our previous correspondence. Without the GAP tool you have no way to identify the RLM (Ride Level Module) ECU's firmware, is it flashed for Hitachi or AMK? This may be controversial but Land Rover made a decision for one reason or another to switch to AMK...

    Air Suspension Performance

Yeah - too good to be true! I bought my AMK in the UK, even with shipping it was a better price but not this ($135) good!

Heard back from the PowerfulUk guys, they don't sale the components... Agreed with greiswig; there's nothing to lose by giving it a shot!

Bear in mind they're running the Diesel engine. Does that make a difference? Higher compression ratio and all that good stuff?

    Infotainment issue

59 I believe means model year in the UK? Is it a 2011? I'm not sure if the backend unit is the same as the Disco 3. I don't see the video? My unit had trouble remembering radio codes! I bought one for $105 on Ebay (£87). This solved all my issues in that respect and took a few hours to...

    Suspension Fault Issues

Here's the scoop with Christian and why he's recommended changing the ride height while looking for leaks with soapy liquid (and if I recall he found the leak in the front valve when changing the ride height). The typical pressure in the gallery (this is the pipes that connect between the...

    Lr4 detachable hitch receiver bent

I've not seen any internal hitch parts on the market; I'm in need of the pin that slides back and forth but could never find one so I made do with what I have. Joining you in the chorus... The video by Powerful UK is super helpful; I used this when I pulled mine apart.

    Current Tire Recommendations?

I've also heard great things about the crossclimate2; have a few friends here in MI that run them and like the snow performance. Also, they're Michelin! I'm a fan! We run Blizzak's on my wife's car; they're great in the snow but also a little nosier than the summer tire. I watched this some...

    Bike Racks!!! Any ideas?

I have this button: I can turn it off; but as soon as I go in reverse again the sensors become active so I have to turn it off every time! I have a 1up rack which is a beautiful piece of engineering but sits right in front of the sensor; not sure how to turn this off more permanently? It's a...

    Compressor running

Wonder now if it is a valve block internal issue? Servicing the valve blocks is really easy; removing the rear valve block being the exception! I'd start with the middle one (just in front of the compressor) as that's the easiest to access; start there and see if it clears your code? This...

    Quick Compressor Replacement Question

I serviced my three valve blocks (cleaned them out, added new o'rings and silicon greased the o'rings), other than the o'rings I'm not sure what can be done or why the valve blocks would fail; I don't see how the parts could wear excessively to need replacement? Perhaps the solenoids? You may...

Strange misfires on the RH Cyl 1,3,5,7

"does a good scan tool pin point what the cause for the misfires are?" I think it's like any other OBD tool in that it will give you the error codes; the skill is not getting the codes but deciphering what they're telling you. In that respect, the folks on this forum have been excellent in...

Has anyone run the Rubicon Trail in an LR3 or LR4?

The photos and videos are insane, absolute respect to the guys who did it; I'm happy to be an armchair spectator on this one!
