    If I were to look for another LR it would be a L405 with the supercharged 5.0. As for the LR4 v6. Remove the sound deadening and enjoy the supercharger whine.

    They don't have a satisfying pop when they are seated. There is a crazy long spring in the tube that grabs the head of the spark plug though. So as you experienced, it can back out an inch or so and still have a connection.

    The P code is more likely to be correct than the live values. I've been down this road chasing a misfire, for me it turned out to be a failing injector.

    It is a sad known problem with direct injection engines. I'd love to see a manufacturer employ a port fuel injector that supplies roughly 25% of the fuel demand to keep everything nice and clean.

    You can also get a larger supercharger from VAP.

    If the block deck has warped it is going to be a royal pain to get a good head gasket seal. Add the cylinder wall lining to the equation and I would recommend a reman motor.

    If you're doing the chains on the v6 you should probably replace the supercharger coupler and the oil for it while you are at it. Front and rear coolant cross over pipes too.

    Some of the corrosion I'm talking about. The strut is pretty strong and I've never fought gravity.

    Terra firma is removable, there's one bolt in the bottom that holds it down. If you do go with the tire carrier, don't forget a wheel lock.

    I'd make sure the fluid level is right. Filling the ZF transmission is kind of a pain. It is supposed to be warm, running, and shifted into gears under load.
