AJ126 SCv6 Supercharger Oil
The supercharger is sealed off to the intake, so oil in the manifold is re-liquified PCV vapor. The only place the SC unit can leak is out the back cover, which would be external to the intake.- 16FujiDisco

Valve Cover Gasket / Front Timing Cover Questions
1- I think it’s the VCG; front passenger side seems to be where most leaks start on these for some reason. I could be wrong but I think the timing cover leaks a little lower than the top usually; mine did at least. 2- price sounds about right, just a lot of labor time to get to it; supercharger...- 16FujiDisco

I think at face value that’s correct, but there are transition years/models and folks that replaced the old with updated version that may not follow this rule 1:1. You can tell from up top which one; the v2 has a flat face- 16FujiDisco

Make sure you get the right kit, mine was a v2; the older style is v1, but double check by looking at it. If I did it all over I’d wait to do it with an oil change; about 1.75 qts came out, but the most annoying part was waiting for it to stop dripping. Drained pan should reduce both, but...- 16FujiDisco

The ‘G’ designation is something Rover Parts does to distinguish the same part numbers across different pieces (genuine, OEM, OE); the part on lucky8 is a genuine part also hence the price being higher than an ‘unbranded’ OEM part. You are correct. The one without the ‘G’ is an OEM part which means it meets the original manufacturer standards, but the G part is a genuine LR replacement part. Both will be fine, it’s just a matter of do you want to pay $140 more for a LR branded part- 16FujiDisco

I would think these two would be easy to differentiate; vacuum pump is front middle, and alternator is a good bit to the side and back. The vacuum pump also would have it trail go back to the oil cooler and pan. If the alternator has any oil residue on it, it can really only come from one place...- 16FujiDisco

@powershift similarly I always switch to sport mode when in the mountains so that it holds those shifts longer @Jimmy Brooks is it still doing it? If so does it do it all the time or does it show up when the fluid gets up to temp? I know the zf8 has an ‘overflow’ tube to release excess fluid...- 16FujiDisco

I like your thinking @scapistron , thought about this too when dreaming of trips to Montana, Wyoming, Utah or Colorado. It would really come down to price and risk of damage in transport. vibration at idle - motor mounts?
I get a vibration at idle too, but only after the rpm’s first come down, then it stops. Is yours lasting the whole time it’s idling? If I’m in park and blip the throttle, as the rpm’s drop to 600 the is a brief vibration in the overall feel of the truck and slightly in the steering wheel...- 16FujiDisco
